Formed back in 1949 and playing its first match a year later, Polonia Sports Club has since been one of the most respected and oldest existing soccer teams in Sydney.
Having scaled the heights of the top division in the NSW State League for many years, Polonia now competes in the Blacktown & Districts Soccer Association Premier League competition.
Since 1978, Polonia Sydney has been based at Chopin Park, Plumpton, a venue that includes the Polonia Sports Club.
Polonia have a long history of success which includes titles in 1960, 1963, 1964, 1966, 1978 and 1987. Additionally, they have finished runners-up several times in all competitions from Division One through to Division Five (as Kosciuszko in 1999).
Although Polonia has a Polish background, it has always welcomed people from all walks of life to its club, whether it be to play, coach or watch soccer, or simply to socialise in the club.
